FLOW TOTALISER
Flow rate unit conversion and batch loading totaliser.
- Peng-Robinson equation of state (gas density)
Flow Totaliser converts a flow rate between mass, actual volume and standard volume at line conditions, and totals a batch transfer.
Capabilities
- Flow rate conversion between mass, actual volumetric and standard volumetric bases.
- Batch totalising: from any one of duration, mass, actual volume or standard volume, the other three, with estimated completion time.
- Fluid phase state and density at line conditions reported with the conversion.
- Exportable PDF report.
Why the results hold up
Mass flow is treated as the conserved quantity; actual and standard volumetric flows are derived from it using density at line conditions and at the standard reference condition. For a defined gas composition, density comes from the Peng-Robinson equation of state rather than an ideal-gas assumption; water uses an empirical correlation.
Scope
A conversion and duration tool, not a metering system — it must not be used for custody transfer, fiscal metering or billing, which require a certified meter and its proving record. The batch total assumes constant flow for the whole transfer; the duration is a planning figure, while the conversions themselves are exact.
