ALKANE calculates entirely on the device. Process compositions, operating conditions and results stay on the device unless the user chooses to share them.
Calculation
Every calculation, from equation-of-state flashes to phase envelope tracing, executes on the phone or tablet. No composition, process value or result is sent to SYSTEM 49 or to any remote server for processing.
Storage
Saved composition profiles, module configurations and vessel presets are held in the application's own storage on the device. They are not synchronised to a cloud service and are removed when the application is deleted.
Network connections
The only external service ALKANE connects to is RevenueCat, which manages subscription status. It receives an anonymous app user identifier, purchase and subscription history, and basic device and platform information. It never receives anything entered into a calculation. Payment is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play; SYSTEM 49 does not receive payment details.
ALKANE contains no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting software, and requires no user account or login.
Reports
PDF reports are generated on the device. A report leaves the device only when the user shares, saves or prints it through the device's own sharing controls.
